Components | 96-well polystyrene enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) plate coated with anti-Apolipoprotein M/Apo M monoclonal antibody Human Apolipoprotein M/Apo M freeze-dried standard Human Apolipoprotein M/Apo M detect Antibody Standard Diluent Assay Buffer(10×) Substrate TMB Stop Solution Washing Buffer(20×) Sealing Film |
Assay Principle | This kit utilizes the double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection technique.Specific anti-human Apo M antibodies are precoated on a high-affinity ELISA plate. Standard samples, test samples, and biotinylated detection antibodies are added to the wells of the ELISA plate. After incubation, Apo M present in the samples binds to the solid-phase antibodies and the detection antibodies. After washing to remove unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP labeled with horseradish peroxidase is added. After washing, a colorimetric substrate, TMB, is added and the plate is incubated in the dark for color development. The intensity of the color reaction is directly proportional to the concentration of Apo M in the samples.A stop solution is added to terminate the reaction, and the absorbance value is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm (with a reference wavelength range of 570-630 nm). |

Human APOM Predicted Functions
Enables antioxidant activity; lipid transporter activity; and phospholipid binding activity. Involved in cholesterol efflux; high-density lipoprotein particle remodeling; and negative regulation of plasma lipoprotein oxidation. Part of high-density lipoprotein particle; low-density lipoprotein particle; and very-low-density lipoprotein particle. Implicated in coronary artery disease; type 1 diabetes mellitus; and type 2 diabetes mellitus.

- RIKEN cDNA 1190010O19 gene
- NCBI_Gene: 55938
Mouse Apom Predicted Functions
Enables antioxidant activity. Involved in several processes, including cholesterol efflux; high-density lipoprotein particle clearance; and plasma lipoprotein particle organization. Acts upstream of or within lipoprotein metabolic process and reverse cholesterol transport. Located in extracellular region. Part of discoidal high-density lipoprotein particle. Is expressed in several structures, including gut; liver; male reproductive gland or organ; and urinary system. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in coronary artery disease; type 1 diabetes mellitus; and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Orthologous to human APOM (apolipoprotein M).
