CD5

HGNC ID: 1685

Target Abstract:

CD5 is a 67 kDa glycoprotein composed of a 347 amino acid extracellular domain and a 93 amino acid intracellular domain. It belongs to the scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) family and is expressed in mature T cells and a small subset of normal B cells. CD5-positive T lymphocytes have signaling functions, while CD5-positive B lymphocytes not only have immune functions but are also closely associated with disease development.
