TIGIT

HGNC ID: 26838

Target Abstract:

TIGIT, known as T-cell immunoglobulin and ITIM structural domain protein, also known as Vsig9, Vstm3, or WUCAM, is a member of the Poliovirus Receptor (PVR)/Nectin family and one of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It consists of an extracellular immunoglobulin (IgV) structural domain, a type I transmembrane structural domain, and an intracellular ITIM and immunoglobulin tyrosine tail (ITT) motif structure.TIGIT is restricted to expression on lymphocytes, with the most abundant expression on CD4+ regulatory T cells, CD4+ follicular helper T cells, CD8+ effector T cells and natural killer (NK) cells .

Human TIGIT Predicted Functions

Enables identical protein binding activity and signaling receptor binding activity. Involved in negative regulation of interleukin-12 production and positive regulation of interleukin-10 production. Acts upstream of or within negative regulation of T cell activation. Located in cell surface.
