Target Abstract:
CD83, also known as HB15, is a transmembrane protein with a molecular weight of 43 kDa. It is weakly expressed on activated B cells, activated T cells, activated granulocytes, dendritic cells, and Langerhans cells, among others. CD83 serves as a specific marker for dendritic cells and is involved in antigen presentation and lymphocyte activation. It can be used for identification and isolation of dendritic cells, follicular dendritic cells, and Langerhans cells in the blood.
