IL3RA

HGNC ID: 6012

Target Abstract:

CD123 is a 70 kD transmembrane molecule belonging to the alpha chain of the IL-3 receptor.CD123 binds IL-3 with low affinity alone, and with high affinity if attached to CDw131 (beta chain).CD123 alone does not conduct intracellular signals, and requires the assistance of the beta chain.CD123 is usually expressed in myeloid precursor cells, macrophages, dendritic cells, mast cells, basophils, megakaryocytes, and some B cells.

Human IL3RA Predicted Functions

Predicted to enable cytokine receptor activity and interleukin-3 binding activity. Predicted to be involved in cytokine-mediated signaling pathway. Predicted to act upstream of or within interleukin-3-mediated signaling pathway; monocyte differentiation; and regulation of cell growth. Predicted to be located in plasma membrane. Predicted to be part of receptor complex. Predicted to be active in external side of plasma membrane.

Mouse Il3ra Target Information

Mouse Il3ra Predicted Functions

Enables interleukin-3 binding activity and interleukin-3 receptor activity. Acts upstream of or within interleukin-3-mediated signaling pathway; monocyte differentiation; and regulation of cell growth. Located in membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including cardiovascular system mesenchyme; dorsal aorta; early conceptus; genitourinary system; and umbilical or vitelline vessel. Orthologous to human IL3RA (interleukin 3 receptor subunit alpha).
