TNFRSF19

Target Abstract: Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Superfamily Member 19 (TNFRSF19), also known as TAJ-α or TROY, is a member of the TNF receptor superfamily. Its expression can be detected in lung epithelial cells, as well as ductal epithelial cells of the prostate and parotid glands; additionally, it is expressed in certain adenocarcinoma cell lines derived from these tissues. Studies have shown that TNFRSF19/TROY interacts with members of the TRAF family and activates the JNK signaling pathway when overexpressed in cells. This protein induces apoptosis through a caspase-independent mechanism and is believed to play a crucial role in embryonic development. The expression of TNFRSF19/TROY is negatively regulated by the adipogenesis-related transcription factor CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein (C/EBP). TNFRSF19 activates the JNK signaling pathway to trigger cell death; its overexpression also activates the NF-κB signaling pathway, with a mechanism similar to that of p75NGFR. TNFRSF19/TROY has the ability to activate key signaling pathways in the TNF receptor superfamily, and its main expression pattern indicates it plays an important role in the growth and regulation of epithelial tissues.
