HGNC ID: 1659
Target Abstract:
CD33, also known as GP67 and P67, is a 67kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the Siglec (sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin) family. CD33 is expressed on myeloid precursor cells, granulocytes, and monocytes, with variable expression intensity in normal individuals. CD33 is expressed in all subtypes of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and 10% to 20% of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) cases may also exhibit CD33 expression.
