Neurociliin-2 (NRP2) is encoded in humans by the NRP2 gene, and the encoding product is a member of the neurociliin family of receptor proteins. The transmembrane protein binds to SEMA3C and SEMA3F proteins and interacts with vascular growth factor (VEGF). NRP2 plays a role in cardiovascular development, axonal guidance and tumorigenesis. There are also multiple transcript variants of this gene, encoding different subtypes.
