Assay PrincipleThis kit utilizes the double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection technique.Specific anti-human IL-23 antibodies are precoated on a high-affinity ELISA plate. Standard samples, test samples, and biotinylated detection antibodies are added to the wells of the ELISA plate. After incubation, IL-23 present in the samples binds to the solid-phase antibodies and the detection antibodies. After washing to remove unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP labeled with horseradish peroxidase is added. After washing, a colorimetric substrate, TMB, is added and the plate is incubated in the dark for color development. The intensity of the color reaction is directly proportional to the concentration of IL-23 in the samples. A stop solution is added to terminate the reaction, and the absorbance value is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm (with a reference wavelength range of 570-630 nm).

Human IL23A Predicted Functions

Contributes to interleukin-23 receptor binding activity. Involved in several processes, including positive regulation of cytokine production; positive regulation of lymphocyte proliferation; and positive regulation of peptidyl-tyrosine phosphorylation. Part of interleukin-23 complex.

Mouse Il23a Target Information

Mouse Il23a Predicted Functions

Contributes to interleukin-23 receptor binding activity. Involved in positive regulation of defense response to virus by host; positive regulation of immune response; and positive regulation of neutrophil chemotaxis. Acts upstream of or within T cell proliferation and positive regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Located in extracellular space. Part of interleukin-23 complex. Is expressed in decidua; decidua basalis; embryo; and extraembryonic component. Orthologous to human IL23A (interleukin 23 subunit alpha).
