Assay Principle | This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific for Mouse IL-18 has been immobilized onto microwells, and one pellet of the HRP-linked detect antibody specific for IL-18 (light yellow) is pre-placed in the microwells, sealed by the adhesive film. Standard or samples are pipetted into the wells, then IL-18 present is bound by the immobilized antibody and detect antibody in the incubation. After washing, substrate solution reacts with HRP and color develops in proportion to the amount of IL-18 bound by the immobilized antibody. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured by microplate reader. |

Human HAVCR1 Predicted Functions
Enables virus receptor activity. Predicted to be involved in phagocytosis, engulfment and positive regulation of mast cell activation. Predicted to act upstream of or within response to lipopolysaccharide and response to wounding. Part of motile cilium. Implicated in atopic dermatitis. Biomarker of several diseases, including hydronephrosis; hyperuricemia; kidney disease (multiple); relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis; and vesicoureteral reflux.

Mouse Havcr1 Predicted Functions
Enables phosphatidylserine binding activity. Acts upstream of or within positive regulation of mast cell activation; response to lipopolysaccharide; and response to wounding. Located in brush border and cell surface. Is expressed in brain; dorsal aorta; liver; lung; and reproductive system. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in atopic dermatitis. Orthologous to human HAVCR1 (hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 1).

Rat Havcr1 Predicted Functions
Predicted to enable phosphatidylserine binding activity and virus receptor activity. Involved in several processes, including phagocytosis, engulfment; response to mycotoxin; and response to testosterone. Located in several cellular components, including apical plasma membrane; cell surface; and phagocytic vesicle. Biomarker of colitis; hypertension; kidney failure (multiple); and proteinuria (multiple). Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in atopic dermatitis. Orthologous to human HAVCR1 (hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 1).
