Components | 1× Washing Buffer 1× Assay Buffer Stop Solution Standard Diluent Substrate TMB Detect Antibody Standard Microplate Wells |
Assay Principle | This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific for human OSMR has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standard, samples and HRP-linked detect antibody specific for OSMR are pipetted into the wells and OSMR present is bound by the immobilized antibody and detect antibody following incubation. After washing, substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of OSMR bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. |

Human OSMR Predicted Functions
Enables growth factor binding activity. Contributes to oncostatin-M receptor activity. Involved in oncostatin-M-mediated signaling pathway and positive regulation of cell population proliferation. Part of apical plasma membrane and oncostatin-M receptor complex. Implicated in primary localized cutaneous amyloidosis 1.

Mouse Osmr Predicted Functions
Enables cytokine binding activity and oncostatin-M receptor activity. Predicted to be involved in oncostatin-M-mediated signaling pathway and positive regulation of cell population proliferation. Predicted to act upstream of or within cell surface receptor signaling pathway. Located in external side of plasma membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including cardiovascular system; hemolymphoid system; lung; sensory organ; and skeletal system. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in primary localized cutaneous amyloidosis 1. Orthologous to human OSMR (oncostatin M receptor).
