Assay PrincipleThis kit utilizes the double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection technique.Specific anti-human CD80 antibodies are precoated on a high-affinity ELISA plate. Standard samples, test samples, and biotinylated detection antibodies are added to the wells of the ELISA plate. After incubation, CD80 present in the samples binds to the solid-phase antibodies and the detection antibodies. After washing to remove unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP labeled with horseradish peroxidase is added. After washing, a colorimetric substrate, TMB, is added and the plate is incubated in the dark for color development. The intensity of the color reaction is directly proportional to the concentration of CD80 in the samples. A stop solution is added to terminate the reaction, and the absorbance value is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm (with a reference wavelength range of 570-630 nm).

Human CD80 Predicted Functions

Predicted to enable virus receptor activity. Involved in positive regulation of peptidyl-tyrosine phosphorylation. Located in cell surface. Part of protein complex involved in cell adhesion. Implicated in type 1 diabetes mellitus. Biomarker of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; demyelinating disease; relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis; rheumatoid arthritis; and systemic lupus erythematosus.

Mouse Cd80 Target Information

Mouse Cd80 Predicted Functions

Predicted to enable coreceptor activity. Acts upstream of or within T cell costimulation; cellular response to lipopolysaccharide; and positive regulation of alpha-beta T cell proliferation. Located in external side of plasma membrane. Is expressed in heart ventricle and skin. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in type 1 diabetes mellitus. Orthologous to human CD80 (CD80 molecule).

Rat Cd80 Target Information

Rat Cd80 Predicted Functions

Predicted to enable coreceptor activity. Involved in positive regulation of T cell proliferation. Located in cell surface. Used to study adult T-cell leukemia; anti-basement membrane glomerulonephritis; high grade glioma; and periodontal disease. Biomarker of kidney failure. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in type 1 diabetes mellitus. Orthologous to human CD80 (CD80 molecule).
