Assay PrincipleThis kit utilizes the double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection technique.Specific anti-human IL-29 antibodies are precoated on a high-affinity ELISA plate. Standard samples, test samples, and biotinylated detection antibodies are added to the wells of the ELISA plate. After incubation, IL-29 present in the samples binds to the solid-phase antibodies and the detection antibodies. After washing to remove unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP labeled with horseradish peroxidase is added. After washing, a colorimetric substrate, TMB, is added and the plate is incubated in the dark for color development. The intensity of the color reaction is directly proportional to the concentration of IL-29 in the samples.A stop solution is added to terminate the reaction, and the absorbance value is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm (with a reference wavelength range of 570-630 nm).

Human IFNL1 Predicted Functions

Enables interleukin-28 receptor binding activity. Involved in several processes, including negative regulation of immune response; positive regulation of macromolecule metabolic process; and regulation of gene expression. Located in extracellular region. Part of interleukin-28 receptor complex. Implicated in COVID-19; dengue hemorrhagic fever; hepatitis C; and hepatocellular carcinoma. Biomarker of asthma; dengue disease; subacute sclerosing panencephalitis; and tropical spastic paraparesis.

Mouse Ifnl2 Target Information

Mouse Ifnl2 Predicted Functions

Predicted to enable interleukin-28 receptor binding activity. Involved in defense response to virus and mucosal immune response. Predicted to be located in extracellular region. Predicted to be part of interleukin-28 receptor complex. Predicted to be active in extracellular space. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including COVID-19; cryoglobulinemia; dengue hemorrhagic fever; hepatitis C; and liver disease (multiple). Orthologous to several human genes including IFNL2 (interferon lambda 2) and IFNL3 (interferon lambda 3).
