Assay PrincipleThis kit utilizes the double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection technique.Specific anti-human CD28 antibodies are precoated on a high-affinity ELISA plate. Standard samples, test samples, and the detection antibody labeled with horseradish peroxidase are added to the wells of the ELISA plate. After incubation, CD28 present in the samples binds to the solid-phase antibodies and the detection antibodies. After washing, a colorimetric substrate, TMB, is added and the plate is incubated in the dark for color development. The intensity of the color reaction is directly proportional to the concentration of CD28 in the samples. A stop solution is added to terminate the reaction, and the absorbance value is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm (with a reference wavelength range of 570-630 nm).

Human MMP13 Predicted Functions

Enables collagen binding activity; metal ion binding activity; and metalloendopeptidase activity. Involved in bone morphogenesis; collagen catabolic process; and extracellular matrix disassembly. Predicted to be located in extracellular space. Predicted to be part of collagen trimer. Implicated in anodontia; artery disease (multiple); osteoarthritis; ovarian carcinoma; and spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia, Missouri type. Biomarker of invasive ductal carcinoma; reproductive organ cancer (multiple); and urinary bladder cancer.

Mouse Mmp13 Target Information

Mouse Mmp13 Predicted Functions

Enables metalloendopeptidase activity. Involved in several processes, including bone mineralization; endochondral ossification; and extracellular matrix disassembly. Acts upstream of or within cellular protein metabolic process; collagen catabolic process; and growth plate cartilage development. Predicted to be located in several cellular components, including Golgi apparatus; intercellular canaliculus; and lysosome. Is expressed in several structures, including connective tissue; inner ear; jaw; limb mesenchyme; and skeletal system. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in anodontia; artery disease (multiple); osteoarthritis; ovarian carcinoma; and spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia, Missouri type. Orthologous to human MMP13 (matrix metallopeptidase 13).

Rat Mmp13 Target Information

Rat Mmp13 Predicted Functions

Enables several functions, including fibronectin binding activity; low-density lipoprotein particle receptor binding activity; and metal ion binding activity. Involved in several processes, including animal organ development; embryonic hindlimb morphogenesis; and estrous cycle. Located in several cellular components, including Golgi apparatus; intercellular canaliculus; and lysosome. Used to study brain ischemia; degenerative disc disease; and myocardial infarction. Biomarker of several diseases, including degenerative disc disease; gastric ulcer; liver cirrhosis (multiple); meningococcal meningitis; and silicosis. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in anodontia; artery disease (multiple); osteoarthritis; ovarian carcinoma; and spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia, Missouri type.
