Components | 96-well polystyrene enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) plate coated with anti-ET-1 monoclonal antibody Human ET-1 freeze-dried standard Angiotensinogen/AGT/ SerpinA8 detect Antibody Standard Diluent Assay Buffer(10×) Substrate TMB Stop Solution Washing Buffer(20×) Sealing Film |
Assay Principle | This kit utilizes a solid-phase competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique. Specific monoclonal antibodies against human ET-1 are precoated on a high-affinity ELISA plate. Biotinylated ET-1 and unlabeled ET-1 or samples are added into the wells of the ELISA plate, competing to bind to the limited binding sites on the coated antibody. After washing to remove unbound substances, HRP-labeled streptavidin is added. After washing again, TMB chromogenic substrate is added for color development while avoiding light. The intensity of the color reaction is inversely proportional to the concentration of ET-1 in the sample. The reaction is terminated by adding a stop solution, and the absorbance value is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm (with a reference wavelength range of 570-630 nm). |

Mouse Edn1 Predicted Functions
Enables endothelin A receptor binding activity. Involved in several processes, including cellular response to gonadotropin stimulus; circulatory system development; and neuron differentiation. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including G protein-coupled receptor signaling pathway; animal organ development; and rhythmic excitation. Located in extracellular space. Is expressed in several structures, including branchial arch; cardiovascular system; central nervous system; gut; and sensory organ. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including artery disease (multiple); lung disease (multiple); obesity; obstructive sleep apnea; and rheumatoid arthritis. Orthologous to human EDN1 (endothelin 1).
