Assay PrincipleThis kit utilizes the double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection technique.Specific anti-human HGF antibodies are precoated on a high-affinity ELISA plate. Standard samples, test samples, and biotinylated detection antibodies are added to the wells of the ELISA plate. After incubation, HGF present in the samples binds to the solid-phase antibodies and the detection antibodies. After washing to remove unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP labeled with horseradish peroxidase is added. After washing, a colorimetric substrate, TMB, is added and the plate is incubated in the dark for color development. The intensity of the color reaction is directly proportional to the concentration of HGF in the samples. The reaction is terminated by adding a stop solution, and the absorbance value is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm (with a reference wavelength range of 570-630 nm).

Human HGF Predicted Functions

Enables chemoattractant activity and identical protein binding activity. Involved in several processes, including cellular response to hepatocyte growth factor stimulus; negative regulation of programmed cell death; and positive regulation of nitrogen compound metabolic process. Acts upstream of or within regulation of branching involved in salivary gland morphogenesis by mesenchymal-epithelial signaling. Located in membrane. Implicated in several diseases, including artery disease (multiple); autosomal recessive nonsyndromic deafness 39; eye disease (multiple); neuropathy (multiple); and scleroderma (multiple). Biomarker of several diseases, including artery disease (multiple); biliary tract disease (multiple); myositis (multiple); retinal disease (multiple); and rheumatoid arthritis (multiple).

Mouse Hgf Target Information

Mouse Hgf Predicted Functions

Predicted to enable chemoattractant activity; growth factor activity; and identical protein binding activity. Acts upstream of or within several processes, including regulation of MAPK cascade; regulation of cytokine production; and regulation of protein phosphorylation. Predicted to be located in extracellular region. Predicted to be active in extracellular space. Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; central nervous system; egg cylinder; embryo mesenchyme; and genitourinary system. Used to study autosomal recessive nonsyndromic deafness 39 and breast cancer. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in several diseases, including artery disease (multiple); autosomal recessive nonsyndromic deafness 39; eye disease (multiple); neuropathy (multiple); and scleroderma (multiple). Orthologous to human HGF (hepatocyte growth factor).
