Components | 1× Washing Buffer 1× Assay Buffer Stop Solution Substrate TMB Detect Antibody Standard Diluent Streptavidin-HRP Standard Microplate Wells |
Assay Principle | This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific for Mouse FGF basic has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standard, samples and biotin-linked detect antibody specific for FGF basic are pipetted into the wells and FGF basic present is bound by the immobilized antibody and detect antibody following incubation. After washing away any unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP is added. After washing, substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of FGF basic bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. |

Human FGF2 Predicted Functions
Enables several functions, including identical protein binding activity; nuclear receptor coactivator activity; and signaling receptor binding activity. Involved in several processes, including positive regulation of cell population proliferation; positive regulation of intracellular signal transduction; and regulation of cell migration. Acts upstream of or within positive regulation of cell fate specification and positive regulation of cell population proliferation. Located in extracellular space. Implicated in several diseases, including Parkinsonism; corneal neovascularization; diabetic neuropathy; gastric ulcer; and impotence. Biomarker of several diseases, including artery disease (multiple); breast cancer (multiple); carcinoma (multiple); eye disease (multiple); and female reproductive organ cancer (multiple).
