Assay PrincipleThis kit utilizes the double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection technique.Specific anti-mouse IL-20 antibodies are precoated on a high-affinity ELISA plate. Standard samples, test samples, and biotinylated detection antibodies are added to the wells of the ELISA plate. After incubation, IL-20 present in the samples binds to the solid-phase antibodies and the detection antibodies. After washing to remove unbound substances, streptavidin-HRP labeled with horseradish peroxidase is added. After washing, a colorimetric substrate, TMB, is added and the plate is incubated in the dark for color development. The intensity of the color reaction is directly proportional to the concentration of IL-20 in the samples.A stop solution is added to terminate the reaction, and the absorbance value is measured at a wavelength of 450 nm (with a reference wavelength range of 570-630 nm).

Human IL20 Target Information

Human IL20 Predicted Functions

Predicted to enable interleukin-20 receptor binding activity. Predicted to be involved in positive regulation of keratinocyte differentiation; positive regulation of tyrosine phosphorylation of STAT protein; and regulation of inflammatory response. Predicted to act upstream of or within positive regulation of osteoclast differentiation. Predicted to be located in extracellular region. Implicated in psoriasis. Biomarker of end stage renal disease and rheumatoid arthritis.

Mouse Il20 Target Information

Mouse Il20 Predicted Functions

Enables cytokine activity; interleukin-20 receptor binding activity; and interleukin-22 receptor binding activity. Acts upstream of or within positive regulation of osteoclast differentiation. Located in extracellular space. Is expressed in Harderian gland; ductus deferens; epididymis; prostate gland; and skin. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in psoriasis. Orthologous to human IL20 (interleukin 20).

Rat Il20 Target Information

Rat Il20 Predicted Functions

Predicted to enable cytokine activity; interleukin-20 receptor binding activity; and interleukin-22 receptor binding activity. Predicted to be involved in signal transduction. Predicted to act upstream of or within positive regulation of osteoclast differentiation. Predicted to be located in extracellular space. Biomarker of end stage renal disease. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in psoriasis. Orthologous to human IL20 (interleukin 20).
